When leading agency, HCT Creative asked us to produce an extensive series of believable ‘character’ images for Motorola, to represent their end-users in a multitude of markets, we leapt into action. Our brief was to work closely with the creative team – no mean feat considering this involved sourcing 12 models and 61 authentic costumes for a 6-day, fully art directed photo-shoot. In addition to casting models and negotiating worldwide rights, we needed to get our hands on some rather specialist props; everything from a Monaco police uniform to the grimy garb of a South African miner (Well, we do love a challenge). With everything in place and the project team fully briefed, the show could begin. With such a hefty schedule ahead of us, our team worked their socks off for 6 long days to shoot an incredible 800 images. With each model required on different sets and with multiple costume and make-up changes, the smooth running of the itinerary was testament to the skills of the HCT creative team, our photographer Stuart, and his Hype team.
